Eye Candy: Art and Accessories

Posted on February 1, 2011

Life has been crazy-I recently moved in with my boyfriend and got a new job with the talented Ruthie Sommers! I like change and embrace it. It is always fun and exciting. Also-today is the launch of High Gloss Magazine  -a new online lifestyle magazine. I’m proud and happy to announce that I will be a contributing editor-look for my feature in this issue-Room and Wardrobe.

Today I was inspired by the art of abstract expressionist Norman Bluhm. I am slightly obssesed with his use of basic primary colors. These paintings are my favorite.

The paintings remind me of these Comme des Garcons small leather goods- the saturation of the colors make them pure eye candy!

Available at Barneys.

  1. Well, congrats are definitely in order on many accounts! I love love love great news, and wish you the absolute best in it all! It will be a mutual love fest with Ruthie Summers, and with your boyfriend, separately of course! And loving your selection of Norman’s works for precisely the same reason. Happiness.

Congrats on your awesome new job! Ruthie Sommers occupies a large percentage of my inspiration files:) and congrats on contributing to High Gloss, too. I just started -virtually- leafing through the issue, and it looks great!
